Michael Miner muses that visual complexity is mush like jazz, classical music, abstract painting and cinematic montage, in that it resists analytic interpretation.
Mr. Mine relishes the restorative effects of landscape photography and finds the mobility of the Canham MQC5, with its interchangeable 4x5 and 5x7 backs, well-suited for remote locations. Visual information is capturedon Kodak and Ilford sheet film stocks. The black and white images are printed on double weight, fiber-based silver halide paper and selenium toned for archival integrity. The color images are drum scanned at the highest resolution and lightjet prints are struck on Fuji ultra glossy and matte photographic paper.
Coinciding with his love for photography, Mr. Miner is also an accomplished screenwriter, cinematographer and teacher.
