"It's as if her subjects wear a liquid veil, dancing in slow motion at the Royal Ball. It's the gentle waltz of motion, water and light. But don't be fooled, it's not fantasy, it's innate, raw human honesty," says Bob Rogers in the forward to the exhibition book "Siren."

A & I presents a selection of photographic artworks by Christy Rogers. Within the dark and shadowy spaces beneath the surface of her favorite pool, Christy employs the unpredictability of time and water to challenge the senses of perception and the human form. Her images are created in-camera as the result of careful experimentation between photographer, subject and the elements of light, water and motion.

Christy, born and raised in the Hawaiian Islands, grew up in a family of musicians in the small beach town of Kailua on Oahu's windward coast. Currently based in Los Angeles, she is a photographer, filmmaker and poet.
