For those of you who want to learn how to publish your own book, please join us on Saturday, June 12th from 1-5 pm! We are offering a “crash” version of our book-making class, co-taught by Julia Dean and Pilar Law, formerly with  A&I books, now with JDPW.

There are several self-publishing companies on the market these days, but none come with as much personal attention as you¹ll get from our educational partner, A&I Photographic and Digital Services in Los Angeles. You can make a  small 5″ x 5″ soft-cover book or large 12″ x 12″ table top hard-back books, and many sizes in between.

You can take this class with or without a laptop computer. If you come with a laptop, you should arrive with our free program already downloaded on a  personal laptop, acquired by visiting JDPW Book Creator at http://www.jdpwbooks.com/ (This is A&I’s book program on our website.) If you don’t have a laptop, you can take notes instead. During this four-hour crash class, you will learn how to use the program, how to size photos properly to get the best quality book, how to work with type, how to sequence your photos, and how to customize your design.
